Lowering Emissions

Our environment is going through a lot of changes as global warming is taking its toll. Because of the earth's gradual rise in temperature, the fossil fuel we use produces emissions that need to be reduced in order to stop the damage that has already been done to our environment. One way to combat this is by lowering emissions. Many people want to know how they can lower the emissions they produce so they can do their part in saving the environment. Responsible driving, which can reduce the amount of fuel we use, is an easy way to lower our emissions. This also pertains to motorcycles, as they use fuel as well.

If you're on a UK Restricted License then you're not permitted to ride a motorcycle producing more than 33bhp or 25KW for the first two years. Basically, this means that the horsepower is restricted and motorcycle restrictor kits will reduce the standard power down to a legal limit. After these two years are up, you can then have the motorcycle restrictor kit removed, but only by a professional. Your motorcycle will then be restored to the full manufacturer's power. However, the higher the horsepower, the more fuel is used that emits the fuel emissions into the atmosphere. If this law of the removal of motorcycle restrictor kits will stay in effect, an alternative fuel source needs to be found that does not harm the environment and can help stop global warming.
