Renewable Energy

Solar panels are sustainable energy sources that pose no threat to the environment. This is as opposed to the main way in which we get our gas and electric supply. Due to our consumption of gas and electric, the quantities of gases being released are too great for the atmosphere to cope with. Therefore, the gases that should be released out into space are not being allowed to escape and are consequently rebounding back into the environment. This type of radiation is what is causing the temperatures to increase and why our polar ice caps are melting. Ultimately, people need to start thing of ways to get their energy from alternative resources.

We have seen an influx of wind farms being installed in our country side and out at sea, which uses wind energy as a power resource. Wind energy is considered to have low risk, due to the small unit size of each individual wind turbine, technical failure or industrial action is small.

Solar panels are another great way of using a renewable energy resource. It is a low cost alternative to gas and electric and the government is that committed to preserving our environment that they have solar incentive schemes, to get more people to use solar power energy. It is a cleaner, greener alternative to fossil fuels. It emits no carbon dioxide emissions and by using these solar panels it helps the planet to minimise its carbon footprint.
